Sambar Masala

The kind of sambhar that makes idli, dosa, and vada taste exactly as they should.

Recipe tip: Pressure cook toor dal till soft. In a separate pot, combine tamarind water, chopped tomatoes, drumstick and brinjal. Add a generous spoon of Realm Sambhar Masala and the cooked dal. Simmer for 15 minutes till the vegetables are soft and the sambhar has body. Temper with mustard seeds, dried red chilli, curry leaves and a pinch of asafoetida in oil. Serve hot.
